Location 7/10

Cohiba villas is hidden away behind Boracay at Mount Luho rd, it is high up in the hill which gives Cohiba the excellent views it has. Cohiba is situated in an area which is quiet and picturesque , however far from any shops, grocers or restaurants. Free shuttles give this resort the mobility it needs for its guests to get around. If you are looking for a quiet scenic place away from all the fuss Boracay brings then Cohiba is in a great location.

Cleanliness 7/10

Cohiba in my opinion is clean, the facilities are although dated are well looked after. The apartments themselves are cleaned to a good standard and facilities sich as the pool and restaurants are maintained well.

Facilities & Amenities 7/10

The resort provides all the necessary things needed for a comfortable stay in Boracay, as I highlighted in the locations section Cohiba provides a free shuttle from the hotel and to D’Mall drop off and vice versa. Cohiba also provides all the necessities as a self catering resort such as plates, pans, cutleries and much more. The restaurant is also available but I rarely see it being used, there is a large infinity pool and a few cottages to chill.

Cost 8/10

Cohiba is an affordable Resort for big groups, if the group would be dividing the bill then you could consider Cohiba being very cheap. If you are a group of just 2 or for Cohiba could cost the same as any beachfront.

Food ?/10

I cannot review the food because although Cohiba had its own restaurant and breakfast service, Cohiba is also a self catering resort which all apartments have kitchens inside. So we decided to just cook ourselves.
Staff 7/10

Like many bigger resorts I do not really notice any difference with staff. As long as staff are not in a grumpy carefree appearance I’d say a hotel/ resort would be a 5+ anyway. Staff in Cohiba are very helpful though any queries we had they were just one call away and an attendant will arrive in your unit within a 10 minute bracket, should your query cannot be sorted over the phone..

Overall 7/10

Overall Cohiba is a fantastic self catering resort for big groups, it is in a hilly quiet area which is the big downside, but the hotel doesn’t fail to provide the needed transport for its guests. The view is amazing and it is very quiet for those who want peace and serenity.
